Some New (to me) links

The blogosphere is an amazing thing. I wanted to share some great sites I've just found (or in several cases, they found me.)

Recruiting Fly is a great blog which brings in information on recruiting and HR in general. Run by C.M. Russell, he always seems to find interesting things first.

The Cranky Middle Manager is a podcast show, hosted by Wayne Turmel. He interviews fascinating authors and experts in business. And I'm not just saying that because I'll be on an upcoming podcast. Wayne also writes at Management Issues which is another great site. Hop over and read his column about Santa's Annual Performance Review.

Recruiting.com gathers HR articles from around the web. Then you get to vote on how much you liked them.

Don't worry--I'm going to add all these to my links, but not right now. Now I'm off to work--to add a little more HR love to the world.

The power of all this is amazing and I wish I had known about it a year ago when I was a Group HR Director!

Do you use it in house?

The best is how easy it all is...for a non geek like me to be podcasting and blogging - well it goes to show anyone can do it. I hope all HR people really take the time to understand the power for employee engagement and development.

Lisa--

I hope you do come back.

Anna--

I think losts of HR departments are terrified of things like this. I agree, it could be a valuable tool.

I don't know what you think but I have always found HR to be frightened of change and losing control. As HR myself I know the risk, however if you want that ultimate place at the BIG table you need to embrace change and find away seperately to manage the risk. My dad always said "Don't fear change, just make change work for you"
And know I didn't come to this blog because I wanted to get pregnant lol:)...that is so funny!

I do think HR is afraid to change. I think that would be a great topic to blog on. I think I'll steal it from you!

I just discovered your blog through your comment on The Daily Perk, and I've very much enjoyed reading your thoughts on all things HR. You might want to check out Training Day, a blog related to all things training (which has lots of HR crossover). Please stop by! Thanks.
