Managing Employees: 5 Scary Small-Business Mistakes

I'm excited to announce that I've signed on with It's a site devoted to small business, so if you are a small business owner or work for a small business, this an excellent site for you.

My first column is up today, and of course, it has a Halloween theme. (Because, as you might have noticed, I love Halloween.)

Tonight when all the trick-or-treaters are out, trying to scare you into coughing up some candy (good candy, please, none of those Bit o' Honey or Necco Wafers), I'll know what really scares small business owners: employees.

I happen to love Necco Wafers, thankyouverymuch!!! :-)

No! Really? Are they available year round?

I like peeps and Hostess Ding Dongs, so I really can't talk about nasty treats in a negative way.

Mmm, preservatives.

You can buy Neccos at the checkout lanes of Meijer, which is kind of a midwestern competitor to Wal-Mart. Sometimes you can even get an entire roll of the chocolate (brown) ones.

Your post actually made me shudder. Blech.

I don't think Necco Wafers are avialable in my part of the world.

I really enjoy your blog, keep up the great work!

Hopefully the powers that be at CBS will get things straightened out because right now the site looks a bit, shall we say, crowded.

I wish I knew what their plans were.

I'm glad you're going to follow me over here, anyway, and I too am waiting to see where Geoffrey James lands.
