How to Escape the Family Business

How to Escape the Family Business

The family business is always entrenched with a lot of issues. More often than not, the lines between family and business are blurred. Possibilities of straining relationships are high in this setup.

Transitioning from one leadership to another often requires a consultation with an estate lawyer. In Ottawa and most parts of the country, they help the business owner in managing his assets including legally transferring properties. In some cases, an estate lawyer (Ottawa and other places) also recommends the best route to take in cases when some family members decline to take their parents position.

Interesting post. Indeed, like getting out from a den of lions, one can get out of the family business pretty unscathed. It's just a matter of finding the right approach. Thanks!
