I just learned about them yesterday in my Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation class (I'm in law school) so it is funny you should create this poll today.
I used to create the said SPDs (but mine were readable)
My vote doesn't count. I didn't know but am not an HR professional in the US, and having googled them I can see that this is information specific to the US.
I feel smart for knowing. This is a first.
How about a follow up question: I can translate an SPD into normal English to explain to my employees?
The real skill is creating any SPD that is LESS than 30 pages, even for the simplest of plans.
